One of the buildings we strolled past in Stockbridge was St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. It’s a beautiful stone building with gorgeous stained glass. Imagine the time it takes to build a beautiful church from stone or the creativity it takes to create a stained glass piece of art. Whenever I see a beautiful church I think of a book I read by Ken Follet, The Pillars of the Earth. It centers around the building of a cathedral in the 12th century, when it would take hundreds of years to complete. Imagine working to build something like that and never see it completed? So when I can I explore the old churches to appreciate the architecture and craftsmanship.
Is there a church in New England that you love and I should visit? Drop me a note below.
